Getting Ready for the New-look Barton Stacey Stores

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

We are all set to close for our exciting expansion and refit.
When we reopen, you’ll find lots more produce to choose from, including bigger frozen and chilled foods sections, a larger off licence and more fresh fruit and veg.

To allow us to finish building works, redecorate and bring in new equipment we will need to (sort of) close for a couple of weeks, starting 1pm, Thursday 7th April.

During this time:
  • A Mobile Post Office and Mini-Shop will operate in the car park opposite the shop for an hour or two most mornings and afternoons – look out for times to be announced later today
  • The morning delivery round will continue – you can still purchase our full range of goods for local delivery – order the day before from our website www. bartonstaceystores.co.uk. (We would very much welcome your continued support at this time)
  • If you reserve a paper for collection please talk to us to arrange how to collect when the mobile post office is unavailable (or we can deliver)
  • Lottery tickets will not be available so please buy them in advance of the closure
  • You will not be able to collect prescriptions while we are closed. We have asked Gratton Surgery to keep them there for you. Any uncollected prescriptions will be returned to Gratton tomorrow afternoon
  • No new dry cleaning can be dropped off until we reopen. Returning items can be collected (or delivered to your home) by arrangement
We hope to fully reopen on Friday 22nd April but keep your eyes peeled for updates. Some external works and shelf-stocking will continue for a while thereafter and we’ll have an official opening after a month or so.
Thanks for continuing to support our shop and please follow our Facebook page for daily updates.

To help take us to the next level we have hooked up with SPAR, who are contributing much-valued advice, support and financial investment, along with a wider range of produce and special promotional offers. However, we will remain completely independent, with our own identity and plenty of local produce for sale.
